Activity 1
Imagine that you are visiting on the national holiday of your chosen country. On your blog tell us what you would eat, see and do on that day.
I have chosen Australia as my chosen country. I would eat some steak and eat some chips. On The National Day of Australia some people attend to local community festivals, concerts or parties. Everyone take the day off work and people get together for a barbecue.
Hi Maris Stella!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that you are blogging with us today for the Summer Learning Journey. There is a full week to go so you've still got plenty of time to post great blogs :)
I really enjoyed reading your blog today about Australia Day. It is coming up quite soon, actually. The people of Australia will be taking the day off to attend festivals and have special barbecues in less than a week. They are lucky 'eh?
Having said that, we are quite lucky as well given that our national day, Waitangi Day, is only two weeks away (6 February). We also have 'Auckland Anniversary Day' on 30 January. Do you know if there will be special events held in your neighbourhood for either Waitangi Day or Auckland Anniversary Day? I think that we are having a special market out in Titirangi where I live. I love markets!
Keep up the great work with your blogging, Maris Stella. I really hope to see you online again soon:)
Cheers,
Rachel
