Summer Blogging

Activity 2
Let’s imagine that you have been asked to host a visitor from another country. They are going to come and stay with you for three days. During that time, you are expected to take them on a tour of New Zealand and show them some our most famous icons. Where would you take them? If it was me, I might take them to Mt Cook in the south island, to the Sky Tower in Auckland and to Chums Beach in the Coromandel. What about you? On your blog, tell us which three famous places in New Zealand you would go with your visitor.

If I had a host visitor and I had to take them to three famous places I would take them to the Waikato River, The Sky Tower in Auckland, and Napier Art Deco in the North Island.

  1. Hi Maris Stella,

Willy here. As always, nice job on your blogpost. I like the famous places you've chosen. Have you been to any of them? I've only ever been to the Sky Tower once a long time ago.

Keep going with the blogging, though! There's one more day left in the programme and you're doing a merry stellar (pun intended) job so far in completing the activities!

  2. Hi Stella and Willy,

Nice pun, Willy ;-) You made me laugh when I read your comment! I completely agree that Stella is doing an awesome job with her blogging. Today is the last today for the programme so I'm really hoping that you'll have time to hop on and post another blog soon.

In the meantime, this is a great selection of places to take your visitor, Stella. The Waikato River is very beautiful and the Art Deco-inspired buildings of Napier are pretty incredible. I have been lucky enough to spend some time in Napier and I just love the look and feel of the area. I really hope that you have the chance to get there yourself one day (you, too, Willy)!

    Bye for now,
    Rachel :)
