Summer Blogging

Activity 2
On Google, research the country that you have chosen to visit and write, in your own words, three interesting facts about that country. They must be facts that weren’t already provided on the World Map.
1. Australia is the world’s 6th largest country by area.
2. Due to its large size and isolation from the rest of the world, Australia is sometimes known as the ‘island continent’.
3. The largest cities in Australia are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

  1. Kia ora Maris-Stella,

Awesome fact hunting! It sounds like Australia will be an interesting country to visit. Although it is such a massive country, a lot of Australia is uninhabited because so much of the land is a desert. About 90% of Australia's population lives in the cities you've listed which are all near the coast.

When you are planning your trip to Australia, do you think you will travel to all of those cities and explore as much as possible? Or will you try and stick to one or two areas instead?

Thanks for sharing your facts with us Maris-Stella, I'm looking forward to reading what you have blogged about next :-)

    Naku noa,
    Dan.
